About the Massachusetts Head Start Association |
| MHSA is a private, not-for-profit membership organization of the 31 Head Start grantees in the Commonwealth that provide Head Start and Early Head Start services to more than 14,000 families annually. Membership in the Association is comprised of directors and parents that have been elected by parent policy groups from their local programs. Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month during the school year and are open to all Head Start parents and staff. MHSA is governed by a 10 member Board of Directors consisting of five directors and five parents that are elected by the membership. MHSA is a member of the New England
Head Start Association (NEHSA) and the National Head Start Association (NHSA). |
