SNAP-Ed Multi-Level Specialist (Mt. Ida or Amherst, Hybrid Opportunity)

The SNAP-Ed Multi-Level Specialist coordinates, conducts, and promotes Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – Education (SNAP-Ed) multi-level initiatives and activities that determine policies, systems, and environmental (PSE) changes which influence Massachusetts SNAP participants’ food choices and physical activity.

This position works collaboratively with the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA), multiple state agencies, and local organizations with interest in health, food access, and education regarding healthy eating and increased physical activity. The multi-level specialist also works collectively with all Massachusetts SNAP-Ed implementing agencies and UMass departments faculty, and staff to address obesity and food insecurity in the Massachusetts SNAP population. This position can be based out of the Mt Ida, Newton or Amherst Campus. Hybrid opportunity
